Forward Deployment Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in configuring and deploying our existing AI voice agent for customers.

• Create and manage evaluation suites to validate functionality, identify regressions, and refine prompts as new clients are onboarded.

• Design and implement new features and resolve issues within the core product.

• Enhance latency, reduce inference costs, and establish safeguards against hallucinations.

• Conduct and refine model evaluation, benchmarking, and product observability.

• Oversee cost management, usage tracking, and security/PHI compliance measures.

• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to translate customer needs into effective, validated deployments, and take ownership of customer go-live, post-launch monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Assist in optimizing and automating the onboarding process to minimize the engineering effort needed for each new customer launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience with strong Python backend expertise.

• At least 1 year of production experience utilizing LLM APIs, deploying and supporting GenAI systems at scale.

• Experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably with AWS.

• Familiarity with regulated or security-sensitive environments.

• A product-oriented systems thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and skilled in executive communication.

• Experience in voice or conversational AI is a plus.

• Ability to convert non-technical customer requirements into functional configurations.
