This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Complete Ownership of Strategic Accounts: Take charge of discovery, technical scoping, infrastructure design, construction, and production rollout for each design partner and ISV collaboration.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Compute Management: Construct and manage cloud infrastructure that supports customer physical AI workflows.
• Platform Services Development: Create platform services for job execution, scheduling, retries, observability, logging, access control, and expense tracking.
• Customer Onboarding Framework: Develop onboarding infrastructure for pilot projects, including sandbox environments and secure execution.
• Reliability, Security & Cost Management: Enhance cloud cost, utilization, performance, and reliability across various workloads.
• Cross-FDE Collaboration: Collaborate with Physical AI Systems FDE to assist with intensive simulation pipelines.
• Long-Term Infrastructure Planning: Outline the long-term infrastructure architecture for multi-tenant SaaS and high-throughput physical AI workloads.
• Pattern Standardization & Productization: Transform customer infrastructure challenges into reusable platform capabilities.
• Accelerated Engineering Pace: Utilize modern AI coding tools to shorten build timelines.
• Field Enablement & Feedback Mechanisms: Co-create reference architectures, solution templates, and technical blogs for enhanced field support.
• 6+ Years of Practical Engineering Experience: Strong background in backend, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE, with a minimum of two years in a customer-facing or deployment-centric technical role.
• Expertise in Distributed Systems & Compute Platforms: Experience in constructing distributed systems, job orchestration, compute platforms, internal developer platforms, or ML infrastructure.
• Proficient in Systems Programming: Strong skills in Python, Go, or related systems and backend programming languages.
• Familiarity with AI-Native Development Workflow: Proficiency in using modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as the primary resource to swiftly design, implement, test, debug, and refactor production-quality software.
• Knowledge of Cloud-Native Toolchains: Experience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability, cloud networking, storage, IAM/RBAC, and infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of GPU & HPC Workloads: Familiarity with GPU workloads, batch jobs, training pipelines, inference tasks, or HPC-style computing environments.
• Cross-Layer Debugging Skills: Proven track record of diagnosing infrastructure problems across application, network, storage, compute, and orchestration layers.
• Security & Reliability Awareness: Strong instincts regarding isolation, RBAC, uptime, and traceability for workloads that involve customer interactions.
• High Agency: Ability to navigate uncertainty without waiting for approval, with a preference for simple, composable infrastructure that addresses real customer workflows.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging in technical discussions.
