CMS Manager – Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive investigations for Defender for Cloud alerts, including scoping impacted resources, identifying potential attack vectors, and suggesting containment actions.

• Link workload detections with posture context to pinpoint systemic misconfigurations that elevate risk levels.

• Address data gaps in AWS connectors (permissions, connector health, plan prerequisites) and document the steps taken to resolve these issues.

• Grasp the AWS connector authentication model (federated trust and short-lived credentials) to facilitate secure onboarding and troubleshooting.

• Lead remediation efforts alongside client teams: verify fixes, ensure risk mitigation, manage exceptions (time-sensitive), and minimize operational noise.

• Recognize recurrent issues and recommend new detection methods/playbooks, enhanced routing, and improved enrichment techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Azure and AWS operations: Azure: RBAC, networking, key services (VMs, AKS, storage, databases).

• AWS: Understanding of IAM, basics of EC2/EKS, security logging principles, and familiarity with CloudFormation (for onboarding patterns).

• Capability to articulate and manage posture management: secure score, recommendations, compliance posture, and remediation workflows.

• Experience in incident response: guidance on containment/eradication, communication with stakeholders, and documentation post-incident.

• Practical experience with CSPM tools (Defender/Wiz/AWS Security Hub, etc.).
