This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate directly with defense and security clients to identify their most critical situational awareness and force protection challenges, and then outline appropriate solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions on Palantir Foundry that activate First Alert, including data pipelines, ontology models, and applications for operators.
• Incorporate Dataminr's real-time intelligence into customer operations, common situational awareness platforms, and existing command-and-control tools.
• Create and optimize custom widgets as necessary to help customers effectively utilize real-time intelligence.
• Take ownership of solutions from start to finish, operating with minimal oversight and making independent, sound technical choices.
• Troubleshoot across the entire stack—covering infrastructure, networking, and application layers—often in constrained, offline, or on-premise settings.
• Serve as a trusted technical consultant to customer engineers and operators, relaying their feedback to the Dataminr product team.
• Travel to customer locations and operations centers throughout Europe as required (approximately 25–75% of the time).
• A solid engineering foundation, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Expertise in Palantir Foundry: hands-on experience in building on Palantir Foundry—including data pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories / Workbooks, and application development.
• Programming skills: proficiency in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bash, or Go.
• Over 3 years of professional experience in software engineering or forward-deployed/solutions engineering, delivering production systems.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker / Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes / OpenShift), along with a solid understanding of Linux, networking, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while excelling in a dynamic environment with iterative, mission-focused goals.
• NATO Secret clearance: currently holding an active NATO Secret security clearance, or being eligible and willing to obtain one.
