Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Integrate directly with a Praxent client to develop AI systems tailored to their business.

• Manage a workstream from the initial understanding of the client’s challenges through to delivery and documentation.

• Write the majority of the code, make daily technical decisions, and oversee the workstream's transition to production.

• Deliver reliable agentic and LLM-supported features that meet both functional and compliance standards.

• Seamlessly integrate AI with legacy core systems, governed data, identity management systems, and client infrastructure.

• Create evaluations, guardrails, runbooks, and handoff processes for client operations.

• Collaborate with Senior Forward Deployed Engineers, Product Managers, client engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Take ownership of the outcomes from the initial commit through to a successful handoff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering production software relied upon by others.

• Ideal candidates will have direct experience with LLM and agentic systems (RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evaluations).

• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Comfortable working across the technology stack, with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containers, and CI/CD processes.

• Proven ability to integrate with complex, real-world systems and data.

• Capable of engaging in technical discussions with a client’s engineers and collaborating directly with them.

• Experience in the banking, lending, or payments sectors is highly preferred.

• Strongly preferred experience working closely with risk and compliance teams, advancing AI through model-risk or security reviews in a regulated environment.

• Must currently hold legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

• International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be entertained.
