Forward Deployed Engineer – AI, Business Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Map out existing workflows from start to finish to identify the root causes of operational issues, such as handoff failures, governance gaps, and mismatches in tools.

• Redesign operations for the target state to create more efficient workflows, clarify decision-making rights, and enhance collaboration between humans and agents, leveraging AI to boost throughput.

• Develop comprehensive operating models that encompass organizational structure, roles, governance, cross-functional interaction frameworks, and value realization.

• Set performance baselines and establish measurement frameworks to continuously monitor improvements throughout the engagement.

• Identify value gaps in stalled implementations by diagnosing areas where technology deployment has outpaced business adoption, helping to restore the path to ROI.

• Create functional, AI-driven prototypes using LLM APIs, platform-native features, and low-code/no-code environments to deliver effective solutions.

• Use working demos and prototypes as primary tools for stakeholder alignment, integrating directly within the client's existing processes.

• Assess where AI can effectively enhance workflows versus where it may act as a distraction, providing clients with realistic and grounded expectations.

• Assist in the deployment of new tools and workflows, ensuring that adoption is rooted in process design and effective change management.

• Develop enablement materials that ensure new technology implementations align with and support the intended operating model.

• Aid in scoping complex engagements and conduct diagnostic assessments for value capture, implementation readiness, and adoption strategies.

• Contribute reusable frameworks and tools that facilitate ongoing improvements in practice qualification and scoping.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in management consulting or similar roles within enterprise technology, SaaS, or professional services.

• Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas: organizational design, operating model transformation, change management, technology enablement, process engineering, or go-to-market execution.

• A successful history of creating structured, evidence-based arguments to effectively influence and align senior stakeholders.

• Practical experience in developing functional AI-powered workflows, automations, and prototypes, with the capability to deliver working solutions rather than solely designing them.

• Ability to quickly scope and create a working proof of concept within the limitations of a client engagement to persuade skeptical stakeholders.

• Comfort and capability to work independently without a dedicated engineering team, knowing when to build solutions solo and when to engage additional resources.

• Strong diagnostic mindset dedicated to understanding root causes and broken processes before proposing solutions.

• Deep accountability for actual outcomes and measurable impact, rather than just producing static deliverables.

• Preference for early proof, favoring the development of working prototypes over creating standard roadmaps.

• Ability to operate effectively in a forward-deployed role, integrating closely with client engineers, product leads, and operators.

• Experience with large-scale organizational assessments, process redesigns, or extensive technology rollouts is highly desirable.
