Forward Deployed Engineer – AI, Business Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Map out current workflows from start to finish to identify root causes of operational issues, including handoff failures, governance deficiencies, and tool mismatches.

• Redesign target operations to establish more efficient workflows, clearer decision-making rights, and effective collaboration between humans and agents to enhance throughput using AI.

• Create detailed operating models that encompass organizational structure, roles, governance, cross-functional interaction frameworks, and value realization strategies.

• Set performance baselines and develop measurement frameworks to continuously monitor improvements throughout the engagement.

• Identify value gaps in stalled projects, analyzing instances where technology deployment has exceeded business adoption to realign the path to ROI.

• Develop functional, AI-driven prototypes by directly leveraging LLM APIs, platform-native features, and low-code/no-code environments.

• Use working demos and prototypes as primary tools for aligning stakeholders within the client’s actual processes.

• Assess where AI effectively enhances workflow and where it may serve as a distraction, providing clients with realistic, grounded expectations.

• Assist in the implementation of new tools and workflows, ensuring that adoption is rooted in process design and change management practices.

• Create enablement materials that ensure new technology implementations effectively connect with and support the intended operating model.

• Aid in complex engagement scoping and perform diagnostic assessments for value capture, implementation readiness, and adoption strategies.

• Contribute reusable frameworks and tools that enhance practice qualification and scoping continuously.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in management consulting or similar roles within enterprise technology, SaaS, or professional services.

• Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas: organizational design, operating model transformation, change management, technology enablement, process engineering, or go-to-market execution.

• A demonstrated ability to construct structured, evidence-based arguments to effectively influence and align senior stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience in developing functional AI-driven workflows, automations, and prototypes, with a focus on delivering working solutions rather than merely designing them.

• Capability to quickly scope and create a working proof of concept within the parameters of a client engagement to address skeptical stakeholders.

• Comfort and capability to work independently without a dedicated engineering team, knowing when to build solutions alone and when to involve additional resources.

• Strong diagnostic mindset with a commitment to understanding root causes and broken processes before proposing solutions.

• Deep accountability for actual outcomes and measurable impacts, rather than just static deliverables.

• Preference for early proof, favoring the development of working prototypes over the production of standard roadmaps.

• Ability to operate effectively in a forward-deployed role, integrating closely with client engineers, product leads, and operators.

• Experience in large-scale organizational assessments, process redesigns, or extensive technology rollouts is highly preferred.
