Forklift Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• The Service Technician will be tasked with conducting scheduled maintenance, repairing breakdowns, and troubleshooting various models of forklifts and material handling equipment from Linde, Baoli, and other competitive brands.

• Interpret and comprehend electrical and hydraulic system schematics.

• Repair or replace key system components, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG systems, power steering, transmissions, and engines with minimal supervision.

• Accurately identify and order all necessary replacement parts.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot most truck components.

• Conduct engine tune-ups on most types of equipment without supervision.

• Execute proper PMs (Preventive Maintenance) in a timely manner.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems on internal combustion (IC) and electric trucks.

• Utilize all special tools appropriately and maintain standard tools of the trade effectively.

• Operate the service van in a clean, safe, and secure manner, adhering to all required safety regulations for the job.

• Provide assistance in training and mentoring apprentice mechanics through hands-on experience.

• Adhere to all safety protocols while performing work, as well as company policies, especially at customer sites.

• Showcase outstanding customer service skills, representing the company respectfully and professionally at all times while on duty.

• Collaborate across the entire HTX Material Handling footprint to prioritize the needs of all customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or other technical training.

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment and/or machines.

• Valid Driver’s License (must possess and maintain during employment) with a good driving record.

• Proven ability to repair equipment according to skill level.

• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Personal Computers, Tablets, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

• Must be fluent in English.

• Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an advantage.
