This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Drafting, preparing, and managing assignments, motions, affidavits, and a variety of legal documents.
• Ensuring prompt, courteous, and comprehensive responses to a substantial volume of email communication.
• Cultivating and sustaining positive relationships with business associates and clients.
• Delivering outstanding customer service to clients at every level of interaction.
• Supporting attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Preparing and filing status updates prior to scheduled hearings.
• Providing regular and timely updates to clients regarding their status, as well as ongoing follow-up on outstanding documents or services.
• Reviewing expired Notices of Default and coordinating with clients to confirm the most current figures have been obtained.
• Monitoring for executed client declarations.
• Filing client declarations with the court.
• Researching and analyzing legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
• Preparing legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and utilization by the VP and general counsel.
• Investigating facts and legal aspects of cases to identify causes of action and prepare cases accordingly.
• Performing various clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and sorting incoming mail.
• Preparing affidavits of documents and maintaining document files.
• Experience with client systems like LPS, Tempo, Vendorscape, and others is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, internal team members, and external parties.
• Ability to collaborate in a friendly and team-oriented manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills are necessary; the role demands the capability to multi-task and adapt to ongoing changes.
• Attention to detail is crucial.
• High-level proficiency in the MS Office suite is required.
• Proficiency in internet research activities is necessary.
• A good understanding of the legal processes surrounding foreclosure is preferred.
