Floor Technical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the maintenance activities for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) Refuel Floor, which includes Reactor Disassembly, Reassembly, and In Vessel Maintenance.

• Provide direct oversight of both union and non-union personnel engaged in activities related to BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance work.

• Responsible for supervising and mentoring multi-disciplined and diverse teams consisting of GEH and contingent worker personnel, including craft labor.

• Contribute to Product Line activities such as proposal development, product innovation, growth initiatives, and the development and delivery of training as required by business needs.

• Cultivate subject matter expertise on reactor maintenance operations and in-vessel tooling as well as GVHOEM equipment.

• Uphold GE Beliefs while demonstrating integrity, commitment to nuclear safety, and a culture of quality.

• Assist leadership to guarantee the production of high-quality deliverables that meet customer specifications, adhere to business protocols, and comply with regulatory standards.

• Champion standard GE Vernova Hitachi (GVH) processes across various projects and ensure adherence to procedures.

• Undertake additional tasks as dictated by business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field along with 2 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities.

• OR a High School Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities.

• Successful completion of a GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Development Program (EEDP, FEP).

• Willingness and ability to travel over 70% of the time to domestic and international customer locations.

• Willingness and capability to assist in off-season projects, including Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage initiatives.

• Willingness and ability to instruct GEH Technical Training courses.

• Capability to meet Fitness for Duty standards and site security requirements to obtain and maintain unescorted access to US and International Nuclear Plant Sites.

• Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.

• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and physical examination.

• Willingness to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week when executing field projects.

• Proficient in managing effectively under high-stress conditions.
