This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Enhance and refine both new and existing CLaws design and assessment tools utilizing Matlab and C++ programming.
• Assist in the development of CLaws, autopilot, and navigation designs for research and development projects.
• Formulate requirements for CLaws and associated systems.
• Conduct validation and verification of requirements for updates and designs.
• Ensure the verification and delivery of CLaws in compliance with DO-178B and SAE ARP 4754 standards.
• Design and create pilot-in-the-loop CLaws based on diverse requirements.
• Analyze CLaws and FBW system failures using analytical methods and simulations.
• Facilitate the integration of CLAWS into various testing rigs and supplier hardware.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the development of Flight Control Laws for FBW aircraft.
• Expertise in aircraft flight dynamics and aerodynamics.
• Skilled in classical and modern control systems design techniques for SISO and MIMO systems.
• Solid understanding of control law evaluation methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft stability and handling characteristics.
• Familiarity with DO-178B standards and software certification processes.
• Proficient in Matlab, Simulink, and C++ programming languages.
• Good grasp of state estimation or Kalman filtering techniques.
• Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
