This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take ownership of the planning, management, and performance of REIC Rentals’ fleet of equipment and vehicles.
• Develop and enhance fleet processes, systems, reporting, and operational rhythms continuously.
• Establish uniform fleet management practices across various branches and operating teams.
• Enhance the quality and accessibility of fleet data while defining key performance metrics.
• Formulate both short- and long-term fleet strategies based on growth, demand, utilization, equipment age, availability, and financial returns.
• Create equipment replacement strategies and provide recommendations for purchases.
• Collaborate with Operations and branch leadership to optimize fleet levels throughout the organization.
• Monitor fleet availability, utilization, reliability, condition, and lifecycle.
• Develop dashboards and analyze fleet data to inform purchasing, replacement, allocation, transfer, and disposal decisions.
• Oversee equipment and vehicle procurement along with vendor relationships.
• Assess specifications, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and vendor agreements as necessary.
• Manage assets throughout their lifecycle, encompassing purchase, setup, transfer, replacement, sale, and disposition.
• Supervise purchase orders, equipment receipts, asset setup, numbering, transfers, and disposals.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and transfers efficiently.
• Maintain precise asset records and documentation.
• Oversee vehicle licensing, registration, and insurance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing fleet processes, systems, controls, and economic performance.
• Contribute to building a scalable fleet infrastructure to support the growth of REIC Rentals.
• Proven experience in managing or supporting a substantial fleet of equipment, vehicles, or other capital assets.
• Strong grasp of fleet economics, including utilization, lifecycle planning, maintenance costs, replacement strategies, and total cost of ownership.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform fleet data into actionable business insights.
• Experience in developing fleet processes, reporting mechanisms, systems, or operating procedures.
• Familiarity with working alongside equipment manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and other fleet-related vendors.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with field operations and corporate teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with fleet management, ERP, reporting, or other business systems.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and an interest in leveraging technology and data for enhanced fleet management.
• Experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, heavy equipment, or other asset-intensive operating sectors is highly preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening for THC and other substances.
