Fire Protection/Plumbing Engineer III

📋 Description

• Supervise and Oversee the Production of Fire Protection / Plumbing Engineering Documentation (50%)

• Execute intermediate to advanced engineering tasks independently

• Conduct intermediate to advanced plumbing and fire protection design activities under the guidance of a senior engineer

• Carry out intermediate to advanced calculations and analyses for plumbing systems

• Use AutoCAD and Revit software to create drawings and visual representations

• Review and draft sequences of operations

• Supervise and Oversee Pre-Construction Activities (15%)

• Assess existing building conditions and compile technical reports of findings

• Gather data and additional information for construction documentation

• Develop project design, specifications, and construction documents

• Supervise and Oversee Construction Activities (25%)

• Collaborate as part of the engineering team and maintain close interaction with the project management team

• Engage directly with clients on technical matters

• Review shop drawings and submissions

• Review and address RFIs

• Review and finalize punch lists and project closeout documentation

• Reporting (10%)

• Generate project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders

• Update and manage shop drawing and RFI logs

• Track personal hours using company tools

• Utilize AI-driven and digital tools to boost efficiency, minimize manual effort, and ensure consistent, high-quality work output.

⛳️ Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced expertise in designing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems

• Intermediate to advanced understanding of codes, code analysis, and specifications for mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems

• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), with exceptional organizational skills for file management

• Experienced in performing and analyzing hydraulic calculations

• Capable of completing tasks accurately and with meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to utilize AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, enhance operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation

• Competent in succeeding in a remote work environment through effective communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, proactivity, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace

• Skilled in adhering to company and site safety protocols

• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence

• Capable of effective communication in both oral and written forms (technical and non-technical information)

• Proficient in direct client communication, occasionally serving as the primary point of contact for clients
