Fire Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Developing and evaluating fire strategies for various building types and uses.

• Carrying out and documenting thorough fire risk assessments in line with applicable legislation and guidance under the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Assisting in the creation and review of Building Safety Cases and related documentation.

• Collaborating with fire risk assessors to address validation concerns and offer technical advice pertaining to the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Delivering expert fire engineering and fire safety guidance to clients, project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Staying informed about UK fire safety legislation, British Standards, Approved Documents, and industry best practices.

• Working in tandem with architects, design teams, contractors, and building managers to devise practical, compliant, and cost-effective fire safety solutions.

• Engaging in internal training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster continuous improvement throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Fire Engineering or a relevant qualification in Fire Engineering or a related field.

• Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, British Standards, and related guidance.

• Proven experience in producing fire strategies and conducting fire engineering assessments.

• Experience in performing fire risk assessments under the BAFE SP205 scheme is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A dedication to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Willingness to travel to client locations throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays as necessary.
