Fire Door Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, and various fire safety evaluations across residential and educational facilities in London and the Southeast.

• Analyze and interpret fire strategies to ensure compliance and aid in informed decision-making.

• Establish constructive relationships with residents, clients, and site teams while performing on-site surveys.

• Detect violations in fire compartmentation, encompassing fire doors and other passive fire protection elements.

• Evaluate current fire safety measures and offer clear, actionable recommendations for enhancements.

• Create professional, precise, and easily understandable reports that outline findings and suggested actions.

• Keep abreast of the latest fire safety laws, guidelines, and industry best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience in fire safety, building surveying, passive fire protection, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, or comparable fire safety evaluations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage your workload in a remote, field-based position.

• Willingness to travel throughout Central and Greater London, with occasional trips to client locations further away.

• Capability to visit Karntek's Stafford head office periodically as needed.

• Flexibility to stay overnight when projects necessitate travel exceeding 1.5 hours from home.

• Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.

• Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check (organised by Karntek).

• FDIS qualification or fire door inspection training (Desirable).

• CSCS Card (Desirable).
