Financial Systems Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the financial technology operations for both enterprise and individual lines of business.

• Ensure the effective operation and performance of financial systems, including the global consolidation of financial reports.

• Address technical issues, taking action and solving problems within the team.

• Provide support for corporate initiatives that align with strategic objectives.

• Consult and guide on enterprise-wide projects, particularly regarding the impact of financial systems and compliance requirements.

• Direct and facilitate the company's strategic business initiatives and address financial system challenges.

• Lead the enterprise finance technology roadmap, incorporating multiple financial systems acquired through mergers and acquisitions.

• Assist in the upgrade of our enterprise financial ERP to SAP S4 Hana.

• Offer support and advice on financial system processes and their effects on Accounting, external brokers, and internal sales teams.

• Collaborate with Finance, GTS, and Risk and Compliance leadership to support financial system strategies, reporting, and analytics for the organization.

• Oversee and govern the financial structure, including account mapping, cost centers, and global chart of accounts to ensure consistency across the organization.

• Partner with business leaders at all levels to identify and align Financial System goals that support both short-term and long-term business objectives.

• Develop processes and advise on integration planning, including establishing financial structures for newly acquired entities.

• Suggest and implement changes to financial policies and procedures that will meet the enterprise’s needs while promoting continuous quality improvements.

• Actively participate in identifying or developing best practices for functional areas of financial technology within the broader finance function.

• Monitor the performance of direct reports, providing timely and constructive coaching, conducting performance reviews, and approving performance evaluations initiated by direct reports.

• Assess workflow processes and recommend as well as implement procedural and system changes to enhance service quality for the department’s clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of management experience, encompassing responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning tasks, and managing performance of direct reports.

• Proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Capability to drive constructive change, simplify, and enhance the performance of critical systems, and provide leadership.

• Familiarity with financial systems role and authorization management processes and procedures, particularly in SAP.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills essential for effective collaboration with business partners, staff, external auditors, and vendors.

• Clean credit history as verified by credit report.
