This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the daily financial operations that support toll transaction processing and billing activities.
• Oversee the funding of toll authority accounts, manage payment schedules, and monitor account balances.
• Supervise accounts receivable, validate invoices, provide collections support, and manage payment application processes.
• Ensure the precise processing of tolls, violations, fees, credits, adjustments, and customer payments.
• Direct both transaction-level and account-level reconciliation activities.
• Manage the reconciliation of toll authority invoices, customer invoices, electronic payments, credit card transactions, and clearing account balances.
• Oversee settlement activities involving interagency and interoperability matters.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to transactions, payments, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments.
• Develop financial dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), operational performance reports, and periodic financial reports.
• Support activities related to budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, customer programs, contract management, and business reviews.
• Present operational and financial performance results to leadership teams.
• Identify areas of revenue leakage, billing issues, payment processing challenges, and compliance risks.
• Maintain financial controls, ensure audit readiness, manage financial records, and uphold regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with toll authorities, interoperability partners, vendors, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Technology teams.
• Assist with the integration of new toll authorities and financial processes.
• Prepare documentation for audits and support SOX, contract compliance, and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures.
• Lead, coach, and develop Financial Services Analysts, Reconciliation Specialists, and other related staff.
• Set performance objectives, conduct performance reviews, monitor workloads and staffing, and assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, financial operations, reconciliation, revenue management, or settlement operations.
• Proven experience in managing high-volume transaction environments.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational controls.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional operational teams.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
• Advanced skills in reconciliation and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with ERP, billing, and transaction management systems.
• Ability to analyze large data sets to identify trends and anomalies.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other professional certifications are preferred.
• Industry experience in electronic toll collection, tolling operations, intelligent transportation systems, mobility services, fleet management, payment processing, or transportation operations is a plus.
• Remote office environment.
• Occasional travel may be required to customer facilities, toll authorities, operational centers, or company offices.
