• **FP&A Specialist**
• Our client in Canada is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to enhance and refine our budgeting, reporting, and analytical processes. We possess a top-tier payment processing solution and are in the process of developing a financial reporting platform to complement it.
• ****Who are you?**** You understand that timely and accurate financial analysis is essential for operational efficiency and informed decision-making. You take pleasure in analyzing accounting data, creating reports, models, and dashboards, and extracting insights from the findings. • ****What will you do?**** Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for developing, updating, and enhancing both divisional and corporate budgets, as well as quarterly rolling forecasts, alongside regular and ad-hoc reports, analyses, and recommendations for finance, accounting, and management. You will also assist the finance team in modeling and analyzing products, acquisitions, and financing. Collaboration with our in-house data team will be crucial in integrating operational and financial data to boost forecasting accuracy, assess project ROI with a risk-adjusted lens, and improve unit economics. You will establish relationships with leaders across various business units and participate in organization-wide budgeting initiatives. You will serve as the primary resource for internal and external financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• **Must Have**
• - A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• - A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting; business analysis experience is also considered.
• - Proficiency in financial statement production and/or analysis.
• - Understanding of accounting data hierarchies and structures.
• - Your favorite keyboard shortcut in Excel isn’t Ctrl-c or Ctrl-v.
• - A strategic mindset with the capacity to grasp the financial implications of critical decisions.
• - Strong communication abilities across written, verbal, and visual formats.
• - Experience collaborating with technical teams.
• - Exceptional relationship management skills.
• **Nice to Have**
• - Progress toward or completion of a financial designation (CPA, CFA, etc.) is viewed as a benefit.
• - Familiarity with budgeting and reporting software is considered advantageous.
• - Insight into the workings of the payments ecosystem is regarded as a plus.
