This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Take ownership of, maintain, and enhance SJI’s comprehensive Company NAV model, which encompasses architecture, assumptions, source documentation, version control, scenario management, and reporting outputs.
• Spearhead quarterly NAV updates and coordinate inputs across various functions.
• Create quarterly strategic package reports for the private equity sponsor and senior leadership.
• Conduct ad hoc NAV and valuation analyses to identify growth opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures, organic projects, and investments.
• Evaluate changes in capital structure, financing options, leverage, distributions, debt refinancing, and equity contributions.
• Assess regulatory changes and translate their impacts into NAV, cash flow, returns, and risk outcomes.
• Model sensitivities related to commodities and macroeconomic factors such as prices, volumes, margins, inflation, and interest rates.
• Develop and maintain executive-ready dashboards, presentation slides, and supplementary schedules.
• Collaborate with Business Development and operational teams to evaluate growth opportunities utilizing DCF, ROI, NPV, IRR, accretion/dilution, and scenario analyses.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, peer valuation benchmarks, economic developments, capital markets activity, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating risks by evaluating downside scenarios, sensitivities, model dependencies, and valuation impacts.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques, including DCF, NAV, ROI, NPV, IRR, accretion/dilution, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modeling.
• Experience managing complex corporate or asset-level valuation models, preferably in utilities, energy infrastructure, renewables, RNG, investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance.
• Strong grasp of utility regulation, capital structure, financing strategies, commodity exposure, and financial drivers in energy infrastructure.
• Capability to distill complex valuation analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives, presentations, and recommendations.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required.
• Experience with long-range planning, forecasting models, BI tools, or data visualization platforms is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States presently and in the future without visa sponsorship.
