This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance partner fund flows and operational controls that facilitate new products, strategic initiatives, and the Bank's Banking-as-a-Service ecosystem.
• Create reconciliation processes aimed at reducing manual involvement and eliminating unreconciled transactions through automation and data integrity.
• Oversee the investigation and resolution of intricate financial and operational challenges across the Bank's BaaS partner portfolio.
• Evaluate financial operations, reconciliations, and partner activities to pinpoint root causes, operational risks, and areas for enhancement.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to devise automation, reporting, and scalable operational solutions.
• Conduct operational analyses and control validations during partner implementations, escalations, audits, and other vital business occurrences.
• Examine operational and financial data using advanced Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
• Create reporting, automation, and technology-driven solutions that enhance scalability, operational efficiency, and data quality.
• Utilize AI and emerging technologies to expedite analysis, documentation, reporting, and decision-making.
• Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions by closely collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.
• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives across Financial Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and external fintech partners.
• Work with Product and Engineering to ensure operational, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting preparedness prior to new partner launches.
• Facilitate root cause resolution with external partners, ensuring that reconciliation issues, data quality concerns, and operational shortcomings are swiftly identified, communicated, and addressed.
• Streamline complex operational challenges by designing scalable, repeatable business processes.
• Formulate business requirements, standard operating procedures, process documentation, and implementation strategies.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in banking, fintech, payments, treasury, consulting, financial operations, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
• In-depth knowledge of banking operations, payment systems, and fund flows, such as ACH, FedNow, Fedwire, RTP, card networks, settlements, returns, and disputes.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing reconciliation processes, financial control frameworks, and operational protocols.
• Background in supporting SOX controls, internal controls, audits, or regulatory examinations within a regulated financial services setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to convert complex operational challenges into scalable business solutions.
• Experience in analyzing large transactional datasets using SQL and contemporary data platforms (preferably Databricks), with a solid understanding of data pipelines and ELT workflows.
• Expertise in creating automation, reporting solutions, and technology-enabled process enhancements.
• Experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with Python, APIs, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code platforms is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and handling large datasets.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams.
• Outstanding written, verbal, organizational, and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
