Financial Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversees quality control for the processing of payments to and from customers and vendors, which is essential to financial operations on a daily basis.

• Upholds exceptionally high standards for quality assurance.

• Prepares necessary reconciliations and verifies the accuracy and completeness of data.

• Aids in decision-making when exceptions or deviations from the process arise.

• Implements new procedures, including setup, training, and documentation.

• Safeguards the confidentiality of proprietary information and adheres to security policies.

• Collaborates with various non-financial teams to facilitate troubleshooting and research.

• Supports audit requests by compiling data and providing process explanations.

• Capable of validating relevant structured and unstructured data from various sources.

• Builds a pipeline to extract and transform data for reconciliation purposes.

• Assists in creating processes that enhance ongoing data governance.

• Develops engaging presentations, visualizations, and reports to communicate analysis results and recommendations.

• Draws well-informed conclusions that clarify business products.

• Exhibits critical thinking abilities when analyzing data and identifying patterns.

• Undertakes miscellaneous projects as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting knowledge and data analysis experience.

• Strong ability to discover and present insights from the analysis of large datasets using Excel, including proficiency in intermediate-level formulas and pivot tables.

• Required experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Query and Power BI is a significant advantage.

• Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable.

• Must be able to work hours aligned with the Eastern time zone, starting at 8:00 AM.

• Regular and predictable attendance, along with schedule flexibility, are crucial for this role, including the ability to respond on short notice. Must be available to work beyond typical hours to meet deadlines, including holidays and weekends.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail with a commitment to 100% accuracy, alongside exceptional written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, and effective time management abilities.

• Effective teamwork skills and frequent coordination with team members are essential for success.

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment under pressure in a fast-paced and high-stress environment is critical for success.
