Financial Management Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver extensive financial management and analytical assistance to the OCFO within the U.S. Space Force.

• Utilize DEAMS, FMSuite, ADVANA, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint for the management and presentation of financial data.

• Aid in budget development, execution monitoring, and performance assessment.

• Certify and process funding documents within DEAMS, distribute and load funds, and support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Examine financial data to uncover trends, variances, cost-saving opportunities, and process enhancements.

• Create and present financial reports, forecasts, and briefing materials for senior leadership.

• Assist in data reconciliation, obligation and expenditure analyses, reimbursable order acceptance, billing, and collections.

• Ensure compliance with DoD financial regulations, internal control frameworks, and fiscal policy directives.

• Collaborate with functional teams to guarantee accurate data inputs and reporting outputs.

• Support audits and contribute to audit documentation and responses to findings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline, or an Associate's degree accompanied by 8 years of progressive DoD financial management experience.

• DoD Financial Management Certification.

• At least 5 years of practical experience with DEAMS, including funding document certification, fund distribution and loading, as well as support during month-end/year-end closes.

• Experience throughout the accounting and reimbursable order-to-cash cycle, encompassing customer order acceptance, obligation and expenditure reviews, billing, and collections reconciliation.

• Knowledge of Working Capital Fund or activity-group accounting principles.

• Secret or higher security clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Previous experience as a comptroller with the Space Force or Air Force is preferred.

• Familiarity with FMSuite, FRC, GAFS, IAPS, or DTS is preferred.

• DoD Financial Management Certification Level 1 or higher is preferred.

• Experience with DISA FAMIS is preferred.
