
Financial Due Diligence Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee all facets of client engagements, which include:
• Preparing and assessing comprehensive reports and conducting intricate analyses related to cash flows, quality of earnings and assets, working capital, potential liabilities and risks, along with evaluating the implications of findings on purchase price considerations.
• Advising clients on optimizing opportunities and minimizing risks in mergers and acquisitions, including offering recommendations regarding alternative deal structures.
• Reviewing deliverables produced by team members and providing clear, constructive feedback.
• Upholding the highest professional standards and maintaining strict client confidentiality.
• Manage and contribute to various engagements of differing sizes and complexities, delivering due diligence and consulting services to business owners, private equity groups, search funds, and family offices.
• Assist in business development efforts by fostering and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients, identifying market opportunities, and effectively conveying Boulay’s value proposition.
• Train, mentor, and coach junior staff members.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and application of best practices within the Transaction Group, including policies, processes, and tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years of relevant due diligence experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Proven career advancement, including taking on additional responsibilities for client deliverables, senior engagement team members, and more.
• Extensive project management experience, encompassing planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff and clients to ensure successful project completion.
• Ability to adapt, with a strong attention to detail and the capability to quickly learn new processes, apply accounting concepts, and manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficient in both independent work and teamwork, exhibiting strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and effective communication in both written and spoken English, while juggling multiple priorities.
• Preferred:
• CPA, CFA, ASA, or ABV credentials.
