This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess all patients currently undergoing treatment for eligibility in enrollment into patient support programs provided by life science companies and charitable foundations using reports and task lists through the AssistPoint® software platform.
• Confirm patients’ insurance benefits as necessary.
• Prepare financial cost estimates when required.
• Secure prior authorizations when needed.
• Evaluate patients’ financial capabilities in cases where insurance does not cover costs.
• Enroll patients in programs with the appropriate documentation via PDF or digital portal.
• Directly interact with on-site client staff to gather signatures on required paperwork and prescriptions for submission to patient assistance programs.
• Review and confirm that all patients, both for medical and pharmacy services, have been assessed and enrolled for assistance.
• Ensure proper workflow by collaborating closely with your Account Lead.
• Provide timely solutions to client issues, cultivate sustainable and ongoing relationships with clients, and demonstrate initiative and drive when addressing client inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve any outstanding concerns raised by clients.
• Uphold the dignity and confidentiality of patients.
• Assist with the training and orientation of new employees as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Expertise in payer billing and requirements; experience with life science and charitable foundation patient support programs is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare billing.
• Background in oncology and specialty practice is desirable.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Aptitude for managing time efficiently, setting priorities, and adhering to deadlines.
