Financial Controller – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for the General Ledger (GL), ensuring its precision, integrity, and adherence to regulations.

• Oversee and manage the Chart of Accounts.

• Spearhead the transition from outsourced accounting services to an in-house accounting function.

• Oversee monthly closing procedures, reconciliations, and financial accuracy.

• Generate monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Analyze Profit & Loss statements and financial performance across various business units.

• Guarantee accurate and prompt reporting for executive leadership.

• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.

• Review invoices, payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments.

• Provide direction and oversight to the bookkeeping team.

• Monitor cash flow and execute bank reconciliations.

• Coordinate payroll tax, sales tax, and year-end tax reporting activities.

• Ensure accounting practices align with company policies and financial controls.

• Uphold the highest standard of confidentiality when managing financial records and sensitive company information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant with full oversight of the General Ledger (GL).

• Strong background in managing month-end closing processes and financial reporting.

• Practical experience with QuickBooks.

• Experience leading accounting or bookkeeping teams.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

• High integrity, capable of handling highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting.

• Advanced proficiency in English (C1/C2) with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• CPA or equivalent accounting certification is advantageous.
