This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise all daily accounting functions, encompassing the general ledger and fixed assets.

• Manage the closing processes for both month-end and year-end.

• Develop and document policies, procedures, and best practices for the financial operations.

• Oversee the complete accounts payable process, including vendor onboarding, W-9/1099 setup, purchase order and invoice matching, general ledger coding, approval routing, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations and inquiries.

• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers to the general ledger each period, while maintaining related accrual and allowance estimates, including those for credit losses.

• Establish and uphold strong internal controls to facilitate future audit cycles and due diligence processes.

• Prepare timely and accurate GAAP financial statements along with the monthly management reporting package, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.

• Handle tax filings, ensure sales tax compliance, and manage multi-state nexus considerations.

• Proactively assess compliance risks and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Manage cash operations, including bank reconciliations and short-term cash forecasting.

• Anticipate working capital requirements and strategically time funding and disbursements based on cash position.

• Offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and optimize resource allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA license is preferred.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in public accounting (audit), preferably with technology or SaaS clients.

• Demonstrated experience managing the entire accounting cycle and closing process.

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal tools.

• Familiarity with SaaS business models and relevant metrics such as ARR, ACV, CAC, and burn rate.

• Experience in supporting fundraising initiatives and investor reporting.
