This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee and implement the complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Create detailed financial forecasts and develop comprehensive annual budgets.
• Generate insightful monthly financial reports.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial documentation.
• Establish and manage detailed cash flow forecasts and models.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a small finance team.
• Conduct research and remain updated on the latest International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Assist in audit preparation and the creation of statutory accounts.
• Serve as the main contact for external auditors.
• Offer financial insights to facilitate commercial and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to statutory obligations and internal controls.
• Advocate for the use of automation and digital finance tools.
• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification) with considerable post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated experience in audit, preferably from a respected accounting firm.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions with a strong capability to create, maintain, and interpret dynamic financial models.
• Current and practical understanding of the latest IFRS accounting standards.
• Previous experience in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) setting is highly preferred.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
