Financial Assistance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• This role offers Medicaid enrollment assistance and financial support services for individuals within the community.

• Screen and aid in all phases of the Medicaid and Charity Care/Other Assistance Programs enrollment process.

• Make and receive calls regarding the Medicaid and Charity Process to both patients and Medicaid state representatives.

• Collect, verify, assess, and input essential social, financial, and medical information into various forms and applications.

• Collaborate with on-site leadership and financial counselors to ensure timely submission of Medicaid or Charity applications according to program guidelines.

• Maintain required certification and training on both federal and state levels (if applicable).

• Keep a current knowledge base of Medicaid/Charity/Other Assistance Programs available in the state and stay updated on any changes to policies and procedures – Federal, State, Organization.

• Achieve or surpass daily performance, accuracy, customer service, and quality standards.

• Perform additional duties as required.

• High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• Prior enrollment experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.

• Consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service as a vital aspect of all responsibilities.

• Ability to operate effectively in a remote call center setting free from distractions and noise.

• Proficient typing skills.

• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

• General understanding of health insurance guidelines.

• Effective and professional communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Bilingual skills are a plus.
