This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Oversee and manage client business accounts while acting as a resource for clients and their families concerning treatment funding options.
• Process all third-party insurance claims for patients, which includes determining and verifying benefits, conducting financial interviews with clients or guardians, and following up on financial commitments, ensuring consistency in commitments.
• Engage in individual case benefit negotiations with the supervisor's guidance.
• Supply staff with relevant client financial information and notify them of the correct funding classification according to current procedures.
• Conduct registrations for all new and returning clients, which involves documenting demographic details in the EHR, reviewing and ensuring the completion of initial paperwork, and communicating effectively with clients and staff regarding site-specific admissions.
• Verify Medicaid/Medicare or other insurance coverage and confirm/update Financial Eligibility and Authorizations (as applicable) for all new clients and at least once a month for all active clients.
• Assist clients with the Medicaid Application process as necessary and applicable.
• Coordinate payment activities in line with patient/agency agreements, receive client payments, and maintain precise payment handling and documentation according to current SOP.
• Keep accurate funding documentation related to daily census activities as required.
• Aid clients in the Patient Assistance application process and track the granting and application of Patient Assistance funds.
• Timely complete Medicaid/Managed Medicaid/Commercial Insurance authorization requests as per SOP.
• Enter authorizations into the EHR for all applicable guarantors.
• Generate appropriate documentation and reports to aid in the agency's fiscal management.
• Understand and adhere to all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Execute all responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
• Provide exceptional customer service consistently to all customers.
• Act as a role model for other staff, clients, and customers, demonstrating positive guest relations while representing Rosecrance.
• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
• High School diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience handling third-party insurance claims.
• Proficient in computer data entry.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be emotionally and medically capable of performing essential job responsibilities.
• Must be free from active or infectious diseases.
