Financial Accountant, E‑Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)

• Responsible for executing and monitoring payment transactions

• Conducting detailed analysis of complex financial data to facilitate business decisions

• Actively participating in the optimization, digitization, and automation of financial processes

• Engaging in communication with tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities, and international contacts

• Preparing and electronically submitting VAT returns

• Compiling annual tax returns for the tax advisor

• Proficiently managing DATEV, Amazon Business, and other relevant systems

• Organizing and maintaining cost centers along with related reporting

• Assisting with controlling through comprehensive analyses and reports

• Proactively monitoring liquidity and preparing short-term liquidity plans

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed commercial training or a degree focused on finance/accounting

• Robust professional experience in financial (balance sheet) accounting

• Experience in e-commerce and financial controlling is a plus

• Extensive MS Office skills, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel

• Familiarity with DATEV programs and other accounting systems

• Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality work under time constraints

• Excellent German language proficiency and ideally good English skills
