Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the financial reporting cycle for various European legal entities.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct analysis of the trial balance and financial reports.

• Execute account reconciliations and perform a detailed review of the trial balance.

• Oversee cash management and treasury activities.

• Fulfill revenue and regulatory filing requirements in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory rules.

• Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers and handle local payroll along with monthly employer tax reporting.

• Collaborate with external providers to create annual global transfer-pricing documentation for each country.

• Supply data for weekly, monthly, and forecast multi-currency working-capital needs.

• Meet monthly reporting obligations.

• Conduct budget-to-actual analysis.

• Assist with audit and corporation tax requirements while coordinating with team leads.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• Provide support to GL, AR, and AP teams.

• Complete ad hoc projects as needed.

• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure all tasks are performed accurately and punctually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Open to newly qualified or experienced candidates.

• Strong financial accounting expertise with significant experience in preparing monthly financial statements.

• Familiarity with IFRS / FRS102 standards.

• Experience with Workday is a plus.

• Advanced MS Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and formulas.

• Understanding and application of EU VAT regulations and reporting.

• Accounting qualification, whether newly qualified or with 2–3 years of experience in a similar setting.

• Qualified Accountant status.

• Demonstrated experience in various Accounts roles/functions.

• Knowledge of transfer pricing.

• Ability to prioritize tasks with a strong emphasis on quality, teamwork, and meeting global deadlines.

• Self-motivated, organized, adaptable, committed, enthusiastic, and proactive.
