Finance Systems Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and support finance systems to ensure their seamless operation and effectiveness in daily business activities.

• Aid in the setup, configuration, and upkeep of end-user computing and telecommunication systems.

• Develop and manage data transfers from Snowflake into accounting dashboards, ensuring that all reported figures are both accurate and complete.

• Create and sustain Workato "recipes" to automate reporting controls within Sage Intacct and other financial tools.

• Design Python scripts and automation solutions aimed at minimizing manual data entry for the Accounting team.

• Conduct configurations and testing (UAT) across the finance stack, which includes Sage Intacct, Coupa, Blackline, SAP Concur, and Avalara.

• Assist in configuring and testing MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to link our internal AI/LLMs with Finance workflows.

• Establish SFTP connections and manage REST API calls to ensure the proper data exchange among different finance applications.

• Provide technical support during the month-end closing process to assist the team in resolving system issues and adhering to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Network Administration or a related discipline.

• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.

• Fundamental understanding of REST APIs and systems integration.

• Genuine interest in workflow automation tools (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, or Boomi).

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or RedShift.

• Knowledge of finance software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Coupa, Blackline, or Workiva).

• Basic grasp of accounting principles, including the monthly close cycle and revenue recognition.
