This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee the design and execution of Finance functions within Bio-Techne’s global ERP and MES transformation strategy.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements in areas including Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Acquire to Retire, and project accounting processes.
• Conduct workshops across various business units and ERP platforms to clarify current and future processes.
• Create process maps, business requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate initiatives related to capital investments, encompassing capital project planning, asset capitalization, cost allocation, and financial controls.
• Assist in ERP-related implementations for cash application, payment automation, and other global initiatives.
• Evaluate and aid in the implementation and integration of selected third-party solutions.
• Define system roles, responsibilities, cross-system financial process flows, and integration needs across D365, AX 2012, and legacy ERPs.
• Work closely with architects and business analysts on scalable integration designs and fit/gap analysis.
• Convert business requirements into functional designs that align with both current and future ERP platforms.
• Provide support for data migration and harmonization, chart-of-accounts alignment, financial master-data standardization, and historical data considerations.
• Assist with phased transitions and coexistence strategies between different systems.
• Collaborate with system integrators and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Lead and manage cross-system User Acceptance Testing, including test scenarios, financial validation, issue triage, and go-live readiness.
• Help with cutover planning, financial data validation, and reconciliation.
• Promote process standardization across acquired entities moving from legacy ERPs.
• Identify ways to minimize customization and enhance the use of out-of-the-box D365 capabilities.
• Support Finance and Accounting training and change management initiatives.
• Counsel Finance stakeholders and IT throughout the transformation and stabilization phases.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Functional Consultant in Finance, Accounting, or ERP environments.
• Deep understanding of Record to Report, financial close and reporting, Procure to Pay and expense management, Acquire to Retire, fixed assets and capitalization, and Order to Cash.
• Proficiency with multiple ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience in supporting ERP transformations, integrations, or system transitions.
• Background in ERP consolidation or post-acquisition integration environments.
• Familiarity with multi-entity, global organizations.
• Experience with capital expenditure projects or project accounting.
• Capability to document cross-system business processes and requirements.
• Knowledge of financial data models and system integration patterns.
• Understanding of inventory and cost accounting in both discrete and process manufacturing environments.
• Acquainted with Data Management Framework templates and projects.
• Experience in multi-currency solutions.
• Knowledge of international tax, duties, and tariffs.
• Familiarity with implementing and managing treasury automation solutions such as SK Global Treasury Automation Suite.
• Experience in implementing and managing Accounts Payable automation solutions such as Dooap or Medius.
• Familiarity with tax solutions like Avalara and/or Vertex.
• Proficiency with D365 Management Reporter.
• Experience using Azure DevOps and Power BI.
• Preferred: Finance and/or Accounting practitioner experience.
• Preferred: domain-specific certifications such as CPA.
• Preferred: Microsoft D365-related certifications.
• Strong financial and accounting acumen.
• Ability to think holistically across systems.
• Strategic mindset coupled with a hands-on, execution-driven approach.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail regarding financial data integrity and reconciliation.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-year transformation program.
