This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly financial close, budgeting, and forecasting; create dynamic models for scenario analysis and growth strategies, encompassing both on-chain and FIAT transactions.

• Generate precise financial statements (IFRS/GAPSME), manage tax submissions, and coordinate audit processes.

• Enhance cash flow management and supervise crypto-FIAT treasury operations while maintaining banking relationships.

• Develop investor-ready financial presentations, unit economics, and due diligence materials for funding rounds or strategic alliances.

• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, diverse revenue streams, vendor agreements, and expense policies; improve workflows through automation.

• Optimize the use of financial systems, including QuickBooks and an internal crypto-accounting solution.

• Deliver financial insights related to pricing, service profitability, ROI on new initiatives, and risk management strategies.

• Collaborate across functions with engineering, product, and sales teams to comprehend business drivers and convert them into financial plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent); experience with a Big 4 firm preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position; blockchain expertise is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of blockchain operations: wallets, private keys, multi-signatures, and cross-chain bridges.

• Proficient in QuickBooks or comparable ERP systems; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with AI and automation tools are advantageous.

• A proactive problem-solver capable of developing processes from the ground up, effectively communicating with non-financial teams, and thriving in uncertain environments.

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency regulations (e.g., MiCA, FATF guidelines) and compliance across multiple jurisdictions is highly regarded.
