This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the team in the month-end closing process for expenses related to the Amazon channel, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting along with revenue forecasting.
• Supervise the reconciliation of accrual and prepaid expense accounts, guaranteeing accurate recording and amortization of prepaid items.
• Take ownership of, maintain, and enhance the company's financial and operational models: adjusting and improving them in response to evolving business needs while providing insights based on these changes.
• Support the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
• Conduct monthly financial variance analysis and facilitate budget/operational review meetings with department heads.
• Offer strategic guidance utilizing analytical initiatives like business, economic, and financial modeling and analysis derived from diverse data sources.
• Collaborate closely with department leaders to deliver analytical support, aid in optimizing resource allocation, and proactively pinpoint operational enhancements.
• Utilize Tableau and Quickbooks/MS Dynamics to extract and analyze data in order to furnish the leadership team with insights and recommendations.
• Prepare flux analysis for the complete P&L and Balance Sheet for senior management.
• Carry out monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Work in conjunction with various teams to review and maintain thorough cost trackers.
• Manage schedules pertaining to accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other relevant financial components, ensuring these schedules are regularly updated and reconciled.
• Provide in-depth insights into significant month-over-month cost variations.
• Assist in the Accounts Payable process, including invoice verification, approval workflows, and payment processing.
• Handle ad hoc requests, reporting, and projects for the team.
• 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in an analytical role that encompasses budgeting and planning, financial modeling, and decision analytics (e.g., corporate finance, investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, private equity).
• A minimum of 2 years experience supporting a rapidly growing Amazon channel within an eCommerce or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Proficient in Tableau (or other analytics platforms like Looker, Mode, etc.) and Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the capability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize substantial amounts of data.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process and system improvements.
• Enthusiastic about accounting operations and willing to take a hands-on approach.
• Experience in gathering, assessing, presenting, and reporting financial data to various stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and be proactive in seeking clarification.
