Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the financial overview of manufacturing facilities and the external laboratory network.

• Collaborate with manufacturing site leaders on budgeting, variance analysis, and operational strategies.

• Deliver financial insights for third-party lab routing decisions and clarify cost implications.

• Facilitate pre-close and preliminary closing discussions with site leadership.

• Work alongside Cost Accounting to ensure variance follow-ups are completed.

• Examine fixed-overhead COGS expenses for precise recording.

• Evaluate third-party lab expenses to confirm routing accuracy.

• Conduct margin analyses for gold and precious metals against markup objectives.

• Enhance the monthly closing process by minimizing manual tasks, shortening timelines, and elevating output quality.

• Develop analyses for equipment acquisitions, manufacturing footprint strategies, and evaluations of insourcing versus outsourcing.

• Act as a financial partner to Operations and Finance leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of finance experience, particularly within a physical-product business in a rapidly growing environment.

• Proven track record of collaborating with operators and bridging the gap between operational realities and financial consequences.

• Experience managing recurring processes such as closing, forecasting cycles, or reporting schedules.

• Advanced modeling abilities.

• Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with automating spreadsheet tasks using Claude Co-Work or other AI tools.

• Comfort in handling large, complex datasets.

• Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to translate intricate analyses into straightforward executive recommendations.

• Proactive mentality and adaptability in uncertain situations.

• Openness to challenge senior stakeholders and advocate for the correct solutions.
