Finance Manager – 6 months contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily accounting operations, encompassing bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable across various regions.

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end closing processes, including the review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

• Maintain balance schedules for essential balance sheet accounts, ensuring their continuous accuracy.

• Identify and submit statutory returns and filings across multiple jurisdictions to guarantee full regulatory compliance.

• Implement company-wide accounting policies, internal controls, and ensure proper segregation of duties.

• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.

• Optimize current workflows and create new processes to enhance accounting operations.

• Utilize automation and AI tools to enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of closing, reconciliation, and reporting activities.

• Deliver precise and timely management reporting and balance sheet analysis to the Director of Finance and other leadership members.

• Work alongside Payroll, Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to facilitate cross-functional financial workflows.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial process enhancements linked to company-wide objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting management position.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, month-end closing processes, and multi-region statutory reporting.

• Practical experience with cloud-based accounting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero).

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the capability to work independently in an ambiguous setting.

• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, along with experience utilizing modern AI tools to enhance finance workflows.

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• Preferred: Qualified ACCA, CPA, CIMA (or equivalent accounting qualification).

• Familiarity with US GAAP.

• Experience implementing new accounting or ERP software.

• Background in the crypto, blockchain, or fintech sectors.

• Experience in a remote, distributed, global team environment.
