Finance Manager – 13 Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, guaranteeing accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Direct daily accounting operations through a team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions.

• Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and accompanying schedules.

• Ensure that financial information is thorough, precise, and adheres to relevant accounting standards.

• Lead annual audits and collaborate with external auditors.

• Identify and execute process improvements to boost efficiency, scalability, and control within finance operations.

• Spearhead enhancements to finance systems and initiatives for automation.

• Liaise with external tax advisors regarding indirect tax issues.

• Maintain documentation and processes that support intercompany transactions and compliance with transfer pricing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Mandatory CPA designation.

• 5-8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.

• Strong grasp of financial reporting, month-end closing, and accounting operations.

• Experience in managing audits and collaborating with external advisors.

• Proven track record in process improvement and finance system implementation.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Capability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a dynamic environment.
