• Act as a strategic partner to the Finance Leader – Fuels and Services to facilitate business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
• Oversee GNF board of director responsibilities, which include ensuring corporate governance, maintaining accurate financial records, and executing official documents as necessary.
• Collaborate with technical and business leaders and staff to enhance operational performance.
• Serve as an advocate for cost optimization, productivity, and lean methodologies.
• Evaluate performance and recommend action plans to enhance profitability and cash flow, along with corrective measures when required.
• Engage with GEH senior leadership to provide financial oversight on Fuels activities related to complex multi-year contracts supporting the business.
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify risks and opportunities.
• Create financial models to project the impact of Contract Margin Reviews (CMR).
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to create and implement a scalable and repeatable process to enhance Nuclear Fuels operations globally.
• Monitor and report variances in Fuels projects against budget and pricing assumptions.
• Partner with other businesses and value streams to understand their tool capabilities and adapt these tools as necessary.
• Ensure essential processes and controls are established to support a world-class financial operation.
• Advise and influence necessary actions to optimize cash flow, profitability, and fleet risk management.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and consistency in accounting processes across operations.
• Promote awareness and adherence to controllership processes among operations teams, ensuring finance compliance.
• Foster a culture of excellence in all activities (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or audit.
• Must be willing to work at the GE office in Wilmington, NC.
