• Act as a strategic partner to the Finance Leader – Fuels and Services, facilitating business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
• Hold responsibilities related to GNF board of director duties, including but not limited to overseeing corporate governance, maintaining precise books and records, and executing official documents as necessary.
• Collaborate with technical and business leaders as well as staff to enhance operating performance.
• Serve as an advocate for cost optimization, productivity, and lean methodologies.
• Assess performance and propose action plans aimed at boosting profitability and cash flow, along with corrective measures when required.
• Engage with senior leaders at GEH, providing financial oversight for the Fuels activities associated with complex multi-year contracts that support the business.
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop financial models to project the impact of Contract Margin Reviews (CMR).
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to create and implement a scalable and repeatable process to enhance Nuclear Fuels operations globally.
• Monitor and report on variances in Fuels projects against budget and pricing assumptions.
• Partner with other businesses and value streams to understand their tool capabilities and adapt these tools as necessary.
• Ensure that essential processes and controls are established to support a world-class financial operation.
• Recommend and influence necessary actions to optimize cash flow, profitability, and fleet risk management.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring controllership and consistency in accounting processes across operations.
• Promote controllership awareness and processes through operational teams, ensuring finance compliance.
• Foster a culture of excellence in all activities, including adherence to GE policies, sharing of best practices, and maintaining internal controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or audit.
• Must be open to being based at the GE office in Wilmington, NC.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college is desired.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Completion of Financial Management Program training or an equivalent results-oriented training program.
• Ability to foresee, identify, and resolve complex financial issues.
• Proven team leadership capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
• Established analytical and project management skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and a self-starter.
• Proficient executive communication skills, both written and verbal, including the use of charts.
• Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
