Finance Director – Packaging

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director.

• Offer insights, challenges, and guidance at the executive level.

• Lead and motivate a high-performing finance function within a matrix, multi-site organization.

• Establish strong cross-functional relationships across operations, commercial, and central teams.

• Cultivate a thorough understanding of market dynamics, customer economics, and operational drivers.

• Implement robust performance frameworks that connect financial results to operational KPIs.

• Identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends.

• Direct pricing strategy and margin optimization across various customers and segments.

• Improve customer and product profitability to aid commercial decision-making.

• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.

• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and reporting integrity across all locations.

• Take ownership of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow performance.

• Drive working capital optimization and instill a strong cash culture.

• Lead the finance transformation agenda, encompassing systems, processes, and data capabilities.

• Foster strong finance business partnering capabilities throughout the organization.

• Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably at the Finance Director level.

• A recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

• Proven history in multi-site, operational, or manufacturing settings.

• Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvement, enhance margins, and generate cash.

• Experience in leading transformation and change within complex, matrix organizations.

• Outstanding leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

• A strategic mindset with the capability to translate vision into actionable execution.
