Finance AI Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conducting research, designing, and implementing AI-driven solutions that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the Ledgebrook Finance team.

• Collaborating directly with our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting teams.

• Analyzing high-friction workflows and creating effective automations leveraging large language models, agentic tools, and scripting.

• Delivering tangible results in production rather than merely presenting concepts of potential builds.

• Validating outputs, refining logic, and ensuring that solutions meet actual operational requirements.

• Thoroughly documenting all developments to ensure maintainability of solutions after the internship concludes.

• Regularly presenting work, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Actively pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Some familiarity with AI tools, automation, programming, or data analysis through academic courses, student projects, internships, hackathons, or personal initiatives.

• Basic proficiency in Python, Excel, or comparable tools utilized for analysis and problem-solving.

• A genuine interest in financial concepts such as budgeting, reporting, variance analysis, or fundamental accounting principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a capacity for quick learning and effective teamwork.

• Ability to manage time efficiently, maintain organization, and work independently in a remote setting.

• Previous experience in insurance, fintech, or full-time industry roles is not mandatory. We prioritize curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn.
