Field Troubleshooting Technician – Wind

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist the Wind operating fleet with all facets of operations.

• Emphasize on-field troubleshooting and efforts to return systems to service.

• Collaborate with site teams to bring turbines back online while mentoring newer technicians.

• Travel across the United States to support both Invenergy-owned and third-party contracted sites.

• Diagnose issues and repair equipment safely and efficiently.

• Support pilot projects aimed at assessing new equipment, tools, and/or processes.

• Help manage deliverables and meet contractual obligations.

• Develop and implement operating procedures that align with company standards.

• Provide support for High Voltage switching when necessary.

• Recognize, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality enhancements.

• Lead, assist, and collaborate with technicians in all aspects of their job responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated expertise as a troubleshooter with at least 2 years of experience in wind turbines.

• Must be capable of working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

• Climb ladders unaided and work at heights exceeding 80 meters (250 feet).

• Ability to lift and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 pounds).

• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring employer visa sponsorship at any time.
