This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Provide technical assistance to address network performance challenges and aid in outage resolution efforts.
• Oversee smaller projects or segments of projects, ensuring accurate updates on status and progress as needed.
• Identify and suggest process enhancements related to maintenance and repair activities to senior personnel and management.
• Collaborate with senior technicians in the development of job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation.
• Complete necessary training to stay informed about systems, products, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning by fulfilling training requirements to keep up with both existing and new systems and products, thereby enhancing skills and proficiency in line with organizational values and needs.
• Additionally responsible for other tasks or projects assigned by business management as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent (Required).
• Preferred areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Field Operations and maintenance.
• 2-4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or other related fields.
• Electronics knowledge (Required).
• Basic understanding of operational theory and interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, and AC-DC power systems.
• Experience or familiarity with RAN – Radio Access Network equipment, specifically Nokia and/or Ceragon RAN and/or Ericsson RAN technology, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail (Required).
• Creative problem-solving skills (Required).
• Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Required).
• Understanding of Internet Protocol.
• Willingness to incorporate AI into solution preparation and while triaging logical components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative in achieving company objectives.
• Basic leadership capabilities with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Adaptable to changing environments and priorities.
• Flexible hours are essential; the role requires day and night work as well as participation in an on-call rotation for the South Dakota/Wyoming market, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift 50-70 pounds and be willing to work outdoors in various elements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-assigned vehicle.
