This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Deliver technical assistance for FAA programs and systems, including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others.
• Install, repair, configure, test, and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment at customer remote locations.
• Offer scheduled and on-call field support at customer locations within the designated area.
• Occasionally travel to remote sites beyond the assigned area to address FAA customer requirements.
• Read, comprehend, and adhere to equipment diagrams and task orders.
• Document and take notes on work performed at customer sites.
• Collaborate with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk via phone to resolve field-related issues.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and vehicles.
• Prepare for assigned tasks prior to dispatch.
• Comply with L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures under the supervision of management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of post-Secondary/Associates Degree alongside a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Capability to obtain FAA Public Trust Clearance.
• Hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
• Availability to work scheduled and on-call hours.
• Ability to lift weights up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet.
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and following equipment drawings and task orders.
• Strong administrative skills for effective note-taking and documentation.
• Preferred certifications/skills include Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, and A+.
• Knowledge of cable connectors such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449.
• Familiarity with fiber optics, multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, and voice and data applications.
• Understanding of AC/DC power testing, including 3 Phase AC and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies.
• Experience with T1, DS3, digital BERT, and analog VG network/circuit testing in accordance with Bell Core standards.
• Proficient in using network test equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscopes, Halcyon 704A, and Para-scope or equivalent T1/DS3 test sets.
• Knowledge and experience in IP-based configurations for routers and switches.
• Experience with the installation of equipment racks.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to function well in a high-stress, high-visibility environment.
• 5/8 schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.
• Opportunities for on-call work to meet customer demands.
• Use of company or personal vehicle for field tasks.
