This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
β’ Lead and guide a team of HVAC field service technicians in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems designed for data center environments.
β’ Develop and implement service protocols and best practices for HVAC operations in data centers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations.
β’ Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders in data centers on preventive maintenance, system failure responses, and tailored solutions.
β’ Uphold safety guidelines and promote a culture focused on safety.
β’ Monitor and enhance inventory to ensure service vehicles are equipped with necessary parts and tools.
β’ Coordinate with sales and marketing teams on strategies for data center HVAC services.
β’ Manage customer experience through the C2 customer complaint system.
β’ Support services sales promotions, tools, and objectives.
β’ Provide feedback to Service Sales regarding scope definition, cost to perform, and share leads.
β’ Offer feedback to Service Engineering on the quality and availability of technical support.
β’ Share leads with Sales Project Management and Service Sales teams.
β’ Participate in recruitment activities as required.
β’ Advise supervisors or relevant personnel about schedule conflicts, service issues, equipment concerns, employee matters, and other job-related topics.
β’ Conduct orientation for new hires, field training, and ongoing education.
β’ Perform quality assurance checks in the field.
β’ Provide back-office service administration, including timesheet entry, expense report review and submission, and service report creation and evaluation.
β’ 5-7 years of considerable experience in the HVAC industry, particularly within data center environments.
β’ At least 3 years in a leadership position overseeing a team of technicians.
β’ Extensive knowledge of the specific requirements and challenges related to data center HVAC systems.
β’ Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operational procedures.
β’ Experience with advanced monitoring and management systems utilized in data centers.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving skills combined with a keen attention to detail.
β’ Willingness to travel (on short notice) to various site locations to fulfill business needs as required.
β’ Familiarity with data center certifications such as CDCMP, CDCP, or equivalents is advantageous.
β’ Relevant certifications in HVAC; EPA Certification is highly preferred.
β’ Experience with refrigeration and controls is strongly preferred.
β’ Strong computer proficiency, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
β’ Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
β’ Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance goals and support the mission and vision of the Data Center Business.
β’ Clean driving record and willingness to frequently travel to various job sites.
β’ Medium Work: Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
β’ Physical activities include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
β’ Close visual acuity required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, and extensive reading.
