Field Specialist – Tasman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Oversee, repair, and enhance Halter’s on-farm hardware systems.

• Identify hardware issues and relay insights to the appropriate teams.

• Transport towers and collars, while transitioning between repair, upgrade, and deployment tasks.

• Offer on-site assistance during farm deployments, troubleshoot problems, and ensure successful installations.

• Engage in the global on-call roster for incidents related to towers.

• Work in collaboration with hardware, product, customer success, and other Halter teams.

• Address technical challenges swiftly to minimize interruptions to farm operations.

• Gather, interpret, and analyze hardware data to enhance processes and aid in decision-making.

• Create and manage a maintenance system tailored for the New Zealand market.

• Travel throughout the South Island and across New Zealand as necessary.

• Support Halter’s vision of revolutionizing New Zealand’s dairy and livestock sector through agri-tech innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment installation is essential.

• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a readiness to face challenges independently.

• Practical skills and ingenuity, including the ability to manage a variety of tasks without formal technical training.

• Capability to organize your time effectively and complete tasks within deadlines.

• Excellent collaboration abilities across various locations.

• Dedication to delivering high-quality service and enhancing infrastructure performance.

• Flexibility to travel on short notice and as scheduled, including 3–4 days on the road per week and up to 3 nights away from home weekly.

• A full, clean driver’s license is required.

• Experience in agriculture is preferred but not mandatory.

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand is a requirement as stated in the application form.
