Field Service Technician – Traveling Calibration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure client satisfaction by delivering equipment calibrations, repairs, and associated services.

• Execute troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance tasks for a diverse range of test and measurement instruments.

• Develop, assess, and confirm calibration data sheets for technical precision, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and specifications.

• Oversee customer asset inventories on-site utilizing the Trescal database and related systems.

• Keep precise service documentation and calibration records in compliance with company and quality standards.

• Recognize and communicate equipment concerns, suggest corrective measures, and identify service requirements to clients and internal teams.

• Travel extensively across the Northwestern United States to provide on-site calibration and technical support services.

• Anticipate travel around 90-100%, mainly using company vehicles and commercial airlines.

• Comply with company quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Military PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) or TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment) training and experience, an Associate degree in a technical discipline, or a comparable mix of education and relevant work experience.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or military calibration laboratory is preferred.

• Familiarity with handheld meters, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, calipers, micrometers, indicators, infrared thermometers, and other testing equipment.

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, or similarly regulated calibration setting is preferred.

• Willingness and capability to travel 90-100% of the time to customer locations throughout the region.

• Experience in calibrating and troubleshooting test and measurement devices across various disciplines.

• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• CDL is not required.
