Field Service Technician – Travel-Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Commission systems for mitigating technology-related explosions.

• Validate the operational effectiveness of protection systems.

• Conduct training sessions for plant staff.

• Deliver exceptional service to clients.

• Provide emergency response in case of system activation.

• Prepare written reports for commissioning, maintenance, and emergency service site visits.

• Manage personal expense submissions and travel arrangements.

• Estimate costs for spare parts and/or services.

• Assist customers across North America, involving roughly 60% travel for system startups, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Emphasize safety and customer satisfaction while advancing CV Technology’s fire and explosion protection objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel approximately 60% to customer sites across North America, typically 2–3 days per week.

• A strong customer service orientation is essential.

• Effective communication skills are required.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, expense reporting, and travel arrangements.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Capability to lift and transport a 50-pound load over a distance of 20 feet.

• Ability to work safely indoors or outdoors at heights using ladders, man-lifts, or platforms.

• Competence to climb a 25-foot ladder, whether A-frame, extension, or fixed.

• Ability to safely work and/or remain on one’s feet for extended durations.

• Capacity to function effectively in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Skill in implementing safety protocols during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, and high winds.

• Experience with instrumentation and controls is preferred.

• Field service and/or mechanical experience is advantageous.

• Familiarity with electrical systems, controls, and low-voltage wiring is desirable.

• 1–2 years of experience in a role requiring significant travel is highly preferred.
