Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee field service operations for GE Vernova Solar and Storage Solutions, reporting to the Field Services Leader.

• Deliver on-site services and technical guidance for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of solar inverters and battery energy storage systems.

• Execute and supervise tasks involving electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

• Manage cable routing and terminations, conduct loop checks, perform instrument calibration, adjust safety and alarm system settings, oversee software installation and configurations, and carry out system startups and tests.

• Supervise skilled labor at customer locations and ensure safe, high-quality work that complies with established procedures.

• Enhance customer experience through effective communication, adherence to contracts, and fulfilling safety, quality, and delivery standards.

• Lead operational workflows related to safety, quality, scheduling, and cost for service business commitments.

• Articulate goals, deliverables, strategies, risks, and opportunities internally.

• Safeguard GE’s reputation and technology within the marketplace.

• Foster employee engagement and excellence across service management metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a college degree or equivalent work experience.

• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in power electronics field service, manufacturing, or testing.

• Experience with GE is preferred.

• Familiarity with solar, storage, and/or power electronics products and business processes.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 70% of the time.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Previous experience with Lean continuous improvement is desirable.

• Position is located in the USA.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, when applicable.
